Introduction
Allied Approvals Ltd is a UK based independent company with extensive experience in the Machinery Directive and the Low Voltage Directive. We have a range of consultancy and testing services to validate equipment against the legal requirements for CE marking / UKCA marking. We also serve the North American market for equipment needing validation against UL safety standards.
We clearly identify the regulatory approvals for your marketplace, and will provide all of the safety testing and documentation you need. We work flexibly in conjunction with your own staff, reducing both the time and the cost of dealing with regulatory affairs and CE marking.
Pre-compliance
The earlier you build-in regulatory compliance to your product, the less it will cost in the long run. Our engineers come from electrical or mechanical design backgrounds and have extensive experience in manufacturing. Whether you required national regulations, or have a world-wide marketplace, our thorough design audits will quickly identify the key issues. Our technical report come with a concise summary page, recommending exactly how to proceed.
Compliance testing
A complete sample of the equipment is required, along with the operation, maintenance and service instructions. We require access to the schematic and mechanical diagrams along with datasheets for the safety critical components and circuits. The testing and inspection is carried out using the required engineering standard, and a full technical report is given. Our test reports address each clause in the safety standard, giving a ‘verdict’ of Pass / Fail or N/A according to results. There is a summary page with an overall conformity statement. The procedure will also include a review of your Technical File and advice will be given if there are any gaps in the required records.
